Privacy Policy
Effective: April 22, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how SouthCentral Electrical Components & Consulting LLC ("SCECC", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information you provide through our website and services. It applies only to information collected through this website and our direct engagements. Third-party services we link to have their own privacy policies; we encourage you to review them.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to provide services and run our business:
- Contact and booking information — name, email, phone number, any notes you provide in a booking or order form.
- Shipping information — for physical orders, a mailing address collected by our payment processor on our behalf.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe, Inc.). We do not see or store full card numbers. We retain a transaction reference, last four digits of the card, and billing amount.
- Basic website analytics — standard server access logs (IP address, date/time, pages viewed, user agent) used for security and operations.
- Cookies — minimal first-party cookies used for session management on booking and checkout. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years of age.
3. How we use it
- To fulfill bookings, orders, and related communications.
- To process payments and refunds through Stripe.
- To ship physical products and send digital download links.
- To respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and follow up on projects.
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting.
- To protect the security and operation of our website and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it for third-party marketing purposes.
4. When we share
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations, including our payment processor (Stripe), shipping carriers, email delivery providers, and hosting infrastructure. We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or valid court order, or to protect our legal rights, safety, or property.
5. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above and to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Order and booking records are generally retained for at least seven (7) years for tax and dispute-handling purposes. Server logs are rotated and deleted on a rolling 90-day basis.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any download links, login credentials, or other access tokens we issue to you confidential.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask to opt out of non-transactional email by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. Note that we may need to retain certain information (for example, records of paid orders) to comply with our legal obligations.
8. California residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected and the right to request deletion. We do not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA right.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the website or our services after an update constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
